CIA can obtain a number of reports and data not only from the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles but from other states as well. Types of data include:
Driver’s License Photograph, Name Search/Driving Record , Vehicle Registration, All Vehicles Registered (AVR), Insurance Search, Accident Reports/Copies of Tickets, Title History Search
Driver's License PhotographMost commonly used for surveillance, returns a microfilm copy of the front of an individual’s driver’s license in order to correctly attempt to identify subject.
Name Search/Driving RecordCan determine current driver’s license number using name and date of birth. Once driver’s license number is acquired, a driving history report is obtained for a driver listing current licensure status, citations issued, accident information, and more. This is also a helpful tool for determining a current address on an individual. Vehicle Registration Most commonly performed using license plate number but can also be done using VIN. Returns current ownership information on a vehicle, including lien holder when available, along with a description of the vehicle. All Vehicles Registered (AVR)Perform search by name or driver’s license number to identify all vehicles registered to an individual or company, plus vehicle description if needed. Insurance SearchConducted using vehicle plate number or VIN, and returns current and prior (if available) liability coverage on a vehicle. Accident Reports and Copies of TicketsWritten reports submitted by the investigating officer and copies of citations issued by police authority.
Title History SearchComplete historical documentation of a vehicle.
